Kansas Hit-and-Run Truck Wreck Leaves One Man Dead

A Topeka, Kansas man was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run truck accident. Fredrick Windmeyer, 55, was killed when a pickup truck struck him as he walked his dog across a Topeka street. Dustin Lee Deppe was arrested later that day after authorities found his abandoned, damaged truck. Deppe was charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence, failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.
