Man's Foot Run Over by Jeep Cherokee

A Jeep Grand Cherokee owner was injured recently when his vehicle unexpectedly shifted into reverse, knocking him down and running over his foot. The man lodged a report with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in which he noted that his Cherokee had lurched into reverse at least once before. The man was able to jump into the moving SUV and apply the brakes before it did any further damage. NHTSA is investigating the incident.
