Tiratricol, also known as triiodothyroacetic acid or TRIAC, is a hormone found in some dietary supplements. The FDA has recalled all products containing tiratricol as the hormone may cause insomnia, nervousness, sweating, diarrhea, heart attacks and strokes. Some products that contain tiratricol include Triax Metabolic Accelerator, Tricana Metabolic Hormone Analogue, Tria-Cutz, Thyroid Stimulator, Dietary Supplement Capsules, Sci-Fi-Tri-Cuts Dietary Supplement Capsules, and T-Cuts.
